8,000 Answer Batman Casting Calls

More Than 8,000 Answer Batman Casting Calls | Superhero Hype

Thousands stood in line Downtown on the last day of casting for a new Batman movie, hoping they looked enough like what casting directors need: prisoners, victims, criminals, police officers, businesspeople and sports fans.

About 3,000 extras are needed for the film, said casting director Tammy Smith of Smith & Webster-Davis Casting, a Los Angeles-based company that worked with Lawrenceville-based Nancy Mosser Casting to solicit extras for the film.

During the past two weekends, more than 8,000 people flocked to the casting calls, Smith said.

"I think there has been a very good turnout for this movie that fit the categories that we were looking for," she said.

Extras will fill non-speaking roles for various types of good guys, bad guys and regular men and women, Smith said.

Calgary Expo Day 2 part 2

Mike Mignola!!!
Mr. Hellboy himself was the Comic Guest of Honor.Got to talk to him briefly, seemed nice but definitely irritated by the guy before me (yikes!!)
But tried to shake it off, Thanks Mike!
Mignola also had a limited edition print, made specifically for the Expo that I got signed, (even with a little sketch!!!) but it was too big to scan in.

Also, got to speak with Matt Frewer. Great guy!!! He's Canadian, eh! and Summer Glau. She was awesome with the crowds. Pleasant, didn't rush people through, but for Gawd's sake, have a cheeseburger once in a while!!!!!

Calagry Expo Day 2

William Shatner!!!
Great to hear him speak and field questions. Rumor had it that there was approximately 5000 people there to see him, and boy, did he command the room. He has done so much in his life, and watch for a new documentary that he wrote and directed called, THE CAPTAINS. He went around and interviewed all the actors that ever played a Star Fleet Captain. very cool.
He is pictured here with Calgary Mayor Nenshi, receiving the coveted "White Hat".

After seeing Shat-man speak, I headed to the floor!
Got a couple autographs, and was able to talk to him for a bit, (was lucky to have no one behind me in line for about 5 mins) He sketched while we spoke. Great man, very present to talk to.

George Lucas Strikes Back

George Lucas Shot First [Video]

Written & Directed by Bridge Stuart & Mike Litzenberg, George Lucas Strikes Back tells the story of the real George Lucas as he escapes from prison to confront the impostor being the prequels. Unfortunately, this is all a fantasy, but funny shit.

BATMAN DELIVRANCE from Atomic Production on Vimeo.

Another very cool Batman Fan film find. This french made film is shot beautifully, edited very well and has a great look and feel too it....but, what the hell does that have to do with Wolverine?????....gesshh, spend a little more on the writting and not so much on the city scape shots.
Cool looking tumbler inspired Batmobile, though.
